Who We Are

Jessica Novy, PA-C

Jessica Novy, PA-CJessica Novy, PA-C earned her Masters of Health Sciences for Physician Assistants at Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences in New York, NY. Her thesis was in Endovascular vs. Open Repair for Ruptured Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms. Her program provided a surgical focus for physician assistants including more than half of her clinical rotations in surgical subspecialties.

Jessica began her career at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia University Medical Center in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery. She actively managed cardiothoracic surgery patients on a 24-7 PA-run service. Her clinical care experience included post-operative care of ICU transfers, step-down and floor patients as well as performing bedside procedures and wound care. After working and training in New York for almost 5 years, Jessica relocated to Southeastern Massachusetts. She worked for Steward Medical Group specializing in Thoracic Surgery. She also provided coverage for Vascular and General Surgeons at Saint Anneโ€™s Hospital in Fall River, MA. In addition to first-assisting the physicians in the operating room, she independently managed patients in the pre, intra, and postoperative settings. She performed beside procedures including chest tube placement/removal, venous line placement/removal and surgical wound care.

As Jessica felt that having long term relations with her patients will add to the fulfillment of her passion for caring for patients, she joined PrimaCARE, P.C. Center for Vascular Diseases in July of 2014. She manages patients in the outpatient and inpatient settings. She sees consults, performs daily rounds, and continues to first assist in the operating room. She has a particular interest in venous diseases, managing venous ulcers and varicose veins, as well as less severe spider veins that affect many healthy women.
